METHOD

Our process moves between observation and making. We look closely at existing forms, structures and materials, then identify the relationships and details that are worth carrying forward.

These elements are tested through models, material studies and prototypes. As the work develops, decisions are adjusted through repeated making rather than fixed in advance.

Each result becomes part of the next step, allowing the project to develop through testing, revision and repetition.

Practice Ecosystem

OBJETFORMT is an independent design practice based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, run by JaeHoon Kong and Marie Kang. The practice develops self-initiated objects and collaborative projects through observation, research, experimentation and making.

Each project starts from something specific. This can be a structure, material, production method, behaviour or detail found in everyday life. These elements are studied and translated through the process of making.

The resulting work can take different forms depending on the context. What remains consistent is the attention given to how things are made, used and understood.

00/99

00/99 is a record of ongoing experimentation. A prototype is not treated as a finished result, but as a starting point for further testing and adjustment.

Each iteration builds on what came before. Through repeated testing, the object gradually becomes more resolved, more reproducible and easier to produce consistently.

The process allows the work to move beyond a single prototype and develop into something that can be made and shared more widely.

04.

COLLABORATION

Alongside self-initiated work, OBJETFORMT is open to commissions, collaborations and B2B projects. We bring the same approach of observation, research and making into different contexts, working with each project according to its needs rather than starting from a fixed format. The outcome may take the form of an object, visual system, printed matter, exhibition or spatial intervention.

A project can begin with a conversation.
